Internet resource for the UK medical profession. Available to all GMC-registered doctors and UK medical students, with free registration. Extensive site including medical news, e-mail facility, library section with online textbooks and cardiology speciality page. One particularly useful feature is the "Journalert" service, which will automatically run your Medline searches at intervals and e-mail you any newly-published references & abstracts. You can also search for members from your old medical school.

Another free site for registered UK doctors. Some useful clinical tools & guidelines, including videos of resuscitation techniques and some common invasive procedures (e.g. central vein cannulation).
